Our Favorite Books
Books to help kids with sleep, dealing with change, and even some book recommendations for Mom or Dad!
Often times in consults, our clients are looking for ideas to get them started. While we HIGHLY encourage you to source these things locally instead, this is unfortunately the most accessible way to list things right now so check out a few of our favorite items - but remember, like we talked about in your consult/call/program, no bassinet, pacifier, sleep sack, or toddler clock will magically fix everything.
And you should ALWAYS talk to your pediatrician about the safety questions with any child product. We do not endorse any product or service and cannot verify the safety or efficacy of anything listed on this page.
Note: these may be affiliate links and may receive a commission from any purchase. We recommend you shop locally, when possible!
A Note RE: Our Amazon Favorites
Our Favorite Behavior Tools
Loveys, Timers , Visual Alarm Clocks, and other tools to help!
Our Favorite Sleep Accessories
Cribs, monitors, blackout shades, pacifiers, and more!
IMPORTANT REMINDER
The items listed above under favorites or featured in any social media content or mentioned in any program does NOT indicate a recommendation or endorsements for any item. This is a list of different options for family’s to consider and ONLY if it serves your family’s needs.
When possible, try to source locally and from free groups, build yourself when safe (and DO NOT when it’s not). Please make sure to do your own research before making any kind of purchase for your child and ask consent before purchasing for another person’s child. And remember to always discuss safety with your child’s pediatrician.
We are always looking to expand our referral network. If you think your business may be a good fit for our clients, please reach out so we can connect so we can assess our fit! Unlike many of those in our industry, we have chosen to only refer businesses that we have worked with personally, had a client recommend the business, and/or have had previous discussions with the business owner(s) and believe their practices are in alignment with community care, support, and uplifting.
Please note that while these businesses / professionals are referred on the basis of their high reputation and are expected to provide quality service, Cultivating Parenthood cannot be liable or responsible for any unsatisfactory services provided by any company, agency, business, services, individual, or professional. Please do your own due diligence as a customer and, if you have an issue with any provider on this list, please notify us so we can reassess their inclusion on this list! Providers, if you would like your listing to be removed and/or altered, please email the admin team
Music with Miss Kris (VIRTUAL)
Virtual music unlike any online experience you’ve experienced! As one of her student’s put it, “Miss Kris embodies some serious Mr. Rogers and Shari Lewis (Lamb Chops) energy and keeps all of my kids entertained while teaching them language skills, counting, and even ASL!”
WHY MISS KRIS? Music with Miss Kris teaches parents how to instill a love of music-making in their young children. Through learning how to play and bond musically the whole family can get on the fun. This "musical toolbox" builds over time and allows for moments of daily singing and music time. By setting a routine early on we can show children that practice is fun and helps us get better. Miss Kris has a unique energy and way of teaching music which intertwines an enthusiastic love of animals and nature with the music in each session. By learning tonal, rhythm, and natural patterns that occur in our daily lives, we teach children to live organically musical lives. This method of natural meditation brings peace and happiness to a child, no matter the time or place.
